Message from the Chairman

Thank you for your interest in Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee. I’ve had the opportunity of living and working in Clarksville most of my life and there’s no place I’d rather be. I invite you to explore all the opportunities Clarksville can offer for you, your family, or your business, and I think you may feel just the same.

Residents and visitors alike celebrate Clarksville’s rich history and heritage throughout the year. Our pride in the past is evident in our architecture, landmarks, natural resources, and events. Yet, our citizenry and community spirit makes us one of the most vibrant and progressive…and fastest growing…mid-size cities in the southeast.

Clarksville’s diverse and growing population, largely due to the influence of two of our greatest resources – Fort Campbell Army Post and Austin Peay State University – keeps the city thriving. A strong entrepreneurial foundation, festive events, cultural restaurants, specialty retail, quality education, and a top-value cost of living are all areas in which Clarksville ranks high and exceeds national standards.

Throughout its 100-year history, the Chamber of Commerce has played an active, integral and vital role in community and business development activities. We’ve recruited top industry, facilitated job and income growth, contributed to highway and infrastructure development, promoted local business and education, embraced Fort Campbell troops and their families as our own, and encouraged a clean and safe community – ever representing the best interests of our member businesses and local citizens.

Today, the Chamber is as active as ever in these areas and more. A breathtaking RiverWalk development is entering a new phase with incredibly exciting potential for new business and recreation opportunities. A renewed downtown is continuing to flourish with attractive retail and entertainment options. Targeted Chamber programs positively affect member businesses like never before. This is an exciting time for Clarksville and an exciting time for you to consider joining us. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Chamber if we can assist you in any way.

Sincerely,

Gary Norris, Chairman
Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce
