Who We Are
The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce has proudly served Clarksville-Montgomery County for 115 years. Since 1905, countless volunteers have pursued a common mission: to enhance the quality of life for Clarksville residents by working to promote business and economic development and represent the interests of Chamber membership.
Today, the Chamber represents more than 1,000 member businesses accounting for nearly 30,000 full-time employees.
Members work in retail, finance, education, healthcare, real estate, government, law, communications, transportation, and many other industries.
To effectively represent this broad and diverse membership base, Chamber volunteers and staff work daily to maintain a business-friendly environment in which existing businesses can flourish and new businesses can bring economic impact and jobs to Clarksville-Montgomery County.
The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce is comprised of a board of directors made up of business and community leaders. The board helps to make important decisions about the annual goals for the Chamber as well as the day to day business of the four-person Chamber staff.
The mission of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce shall be to represent the interests of the business community and its membership by advancing community development, promoting the business and economic environment, and improving the welfare of the community by enhancing the quality of life in the region.
History & Past Presidents
Founded in 1905, the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce has proudly served the Clarksville-Montgomery County area for over 100 years. Hundreds of volunteer leaders have diligently pursued a common mission; to enhance the quality of living for Clarksville residents by promoting business and economic development, improving the community’s welfare and representing the interests of its members.
Today, the Chamber represents over 1,000 member businesses that account for nearly 30,000 full-time employees working in start-up entrepreneurial ventures, small businesses, established professional service providers and large manufacturers. They work in retail, finance, education, healthcare, real estate, government, law, communications, transportation and every other imaginable field.
To effectively represent this broad and diverse membership base, Chamber volunteers and staff work daily to ensure a business-friendly environment so that existing businesses can flourish and new businesses are easily attracted to offer good jobs for our citizens.
The Chamber’s efforts are tireless when it comes to promoting Clarksville, not only for potential businesses and visitors, but also for local residents. The Chamber works closely with local, state and federal officials to help identify and offer solutions for issues within the community.
Chamber’s vision of continuous improvement of the community for the benefit of all Clarksville-Montgomery County citizens hasn't changed since 1905, it's only grown stronger.
