Only independent restaurants can appreciate the day-to-day difficulties of owning your own store. Marketing, hiring, training, ordering, taxes, inspections - and that's before you even get your doors open for the day. Some days it can be magical, but many days it feels like you are running low on everything.

Join us in the Aspire Room and Meet MCIRA to share your needs and concerns as a restaurant owner or manager.

5pm - 5:30pm: Heavy appetizers by Neisha Wolfe, Gingham Cafe

5:30pm - 6pm: How Free is Your Free Marketing? by Theresa Shea, Roux Americajun Restaurant

6pm - 6:30pm: Discussion and feedback for next event

We will give away a "free" toolkit, and see what your needs are from MCIRA. We are developing our website to become a new, easy marketing option for our members, and a resource for our community to help them learn and support truly LOCAL & INDEPENDENT restaurants.

The Montgomery County Independent Restaurant Association's (MCIRA) mission is to help build, support and connect local independent restaurants, and encourage growth and diversity that reflects the unique needs of our community. Through this partnership, MCIRA and the Chamber will assist with increasing credibility, and provide marketing. For more information and registration, please visit
