What We Do

The mission of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce shall be to represent the interests of the business community and its membership by advancing community development, promoting the business and economic environment, and improving the welfare of the community by enhancing the quality of life in the region.

The Chamber accomplishes its efforts through volunteer support and business memberships. The Chamber is governed by a volunteer board of directors, including current Chairman Paul Turner, and managed by a staff of 3 1/2. Volunteers serve on committees to carry forth the Chamber’s mission and work plan each year. Committees are as follows:

Membership

The Membership Committee focuses its efforts on the development and enhancement of Chamber programs, which provide networking opportunities to support existing members and encourage the recruitment of new members.

Military Affairs

The Military Affairs Committee works to ensure that military personnel and their families have the support they need from their community, with representatives from Fort Campbell, retired military, government officials, and local business leaders.

Public & Community Affairs

The Public and Community Affairs Committee maintains an emphasis on local, state, and federal government advocacy. During election years, the committee partners with Leadership Clarksville to host political forums that provide an opportunity for candidates to answer questions and introduce themselves to the membership.

Business Development

The Business Development Committee supports all forms of businesses in the Clarksville community, from small, minority, and women-owned businesses to an existing industry, and is constantly working to educate and inspire business owners.

Chamber Ambassadors

The Chamber Ambassadors serve as a link between the Chamber board, staff, and the general membership. Through surveys, networking, and interacting, we gather valuable feedback that helps develop programs and initiatives for our members. In attending events, Chamber Ambassadors facilitate our connection to members and develop relationships for their own businesses. Ambassadors participate in events such as Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings, Ground Breakings, and Power Breakfasts. The committee is perfect for sales given the opportunity to meet newly opened businesses. They also ensure that our current members' needs are met through visits, calls, and emails.

Young Professionals

Clarksville Young Professionals is a Chamber affiliate dedicated to the advancement of our community through service, professional development and networking opportunities for emerging community and business leaders ages 21-40.

The mission of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce shall be to represent the interests of the business community and its membership by advancing community development, promoting the business and economic environment, and improving the welfare of the community by enhancing the quality of life in the region.

About the Green Certification Program

The CMC Green Certification Program is designed to help businesses learn and implement best practices in the area of environmental stewardship in an effort to sustain our community’s resources through a series of free workshops taught by environmental and other subject area specialists. The idea for the CMCGC Program originated from a Leadership Clarksville study group and is based on successful environmental initiatives that have originated globally.
