Re: Chamber candidate forum
From Garfield Scott and team
"Running for office means being willing to show up and answer questions from the people you are asking to represent," Garfield Scott said. "Our community deserves the opportunity to hear from both of us about the issues affecting their families, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods."
Scott was willing and eager to participate in the Chamber forum and discuss issues including Clarksville-Montgomery County's rapid growth, infrastructure, public education, affordability, economic development, and the challenges facing local families and businesses.
"These events are about giving voters the information they need to make their own decision,” Scott said. “I'm ready to have that conversation, and it’s unfortunate I did not have that opportunity due to Maberry’s absence and the Chamber’s decision,” he reiterated.
Mr. Scott has made accessibility and community engagement central to his campaign, emphasizing that elected officials should remain available and accountable to the people they serve.
"House District 68 belongs to the people who live here," Scott said. "These constituents they deserve a representative who is willing to listen, answer questions, and show up, and that is what I remain committed to doing.”
