He served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and spent over 19 years as a member of the 5th Special Forces Group in Fort Campbell, KY. After retiring from the Army, he attended Texas Chiropractic College in Houston, graduating with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He then earned his Fellowship in Acupuncture from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
