Computer Information Technology Instructor – Clarksville Campus

 

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for a second full-time position of Associate Instructor in the Computer Information Technology program at the Clarksville Campus. This is a grant-funded position.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education with credentials in related field. Associate degree preferred. A comparable combination of related work experience, current certifications and education may be considered.
  • Three (3) years of full-time experience in the Computer Information Technology field within the last five (5) years.
  • Must possess a high degree of knowledge in network administration, PC hardware, systems analysis and software.
  • Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher and to interact with high school and adult students.
  • Current CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ certifications and Microsoft certifications or the ability to become certified within twelve (12) calendar months.

GENERAL DUTIES:  The Computer Information Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction, in conjunction with an additional full-time instructor, to adult and high school students to prepare them for employment in the field. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting, system architecture and protocols, software applications, programming, hardware assembly and repair, backup strategies, networking and configuring computers and related peripheral devices. The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; assist in recruiting new students; assist with graduate placement, and assist the IT Coordinator with campus network administration and issues. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry; maintain an active advisory committee; cooperate with outside agencies; and supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education. This position is full-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Scheduled class hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Instruction is delivered in-person.

 

SALARY:  $50,894-$61,074 annually ($26.10-$31.32 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and directly related experience.

First Presbyterian Church

Organist (Church Musician) Part Time 

 

Overview: The purpose of the music program at First Presbyterian Church is to (1) encourage worshippers in prayer as God’s people have always used the gift of song and instruments to unite us as the body of Christ, (2) serve as presentation and interpretation of Scripture, and (3) respond to the good news of Jesus Christ.  The Organist will work with the Director of Music, in consultation with the pastor and the Worship and Music Committee, to accompany worship and rehearsals on organ and piano and to help plan and facilitate the music program.

 

Primary Responsibilities​:

Coordinate with the Director of Music and the pastor and assist with planning for all regular services of worship.
Lead worship as the organist and pianist on Sunday mornings.
Accompany the adult choir rehearsal.
Lead worship as the organist and pianist at all special services (e.g., Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday) and at other services as requested.  The organist is responsible for securing an acceptable substitute whenever unable to fulfill a worship service obligation.
Lead worship as the organist and pianist at weddings and funerals.  These opportunities will be offered first to the organist at a set rate of remuneration by the church and the organist will secure an acceptable substitute if unable to fulfill the additional obligation.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Music to facilitate the use of instruments in worship, including paid musicians and congregation members.
 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

A commitment to the life and work of the church is required.
Three years’ experience as an organist and a college degree in music are preferred.
Strong musical ability to play organ and piano.
Strong interpersonal and relational skills.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to conduct long-range planning.

Employment Status:​

The Organist is a part-time, salaried employee.  The Organist will average 9 hours per week, depending on the season of the year, including in-person rehearsals, worship attendance, and occasional planning meetings.  Vacation time will be governed by the Employee Handbook. The vacation will be at the most convenient and least disruptive time and season for the church year.

Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: manufacturing processes, industrial safety, blueprint reading, technical math, process automation, quality inspection, CAD/CAM, electronics, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLC), instrumentation, computer software and computer hardware skills, AC/DC electrical, machine tool, and preventive maintenance. The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for a second full-time instructor in the Automotive Technology program at the Clarksville Campus. The college is increasing emphasis in electric vehicle maintenance and is seeking individuals with knowledge in electric vehicle maintenance along with traditional auto mechanics experience. This is a grant-funded position.

This position is full-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Working independently, but under the direction of the Lead Facilities Support Associate 6 and supervision of the Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment; ensuring facilities meet environmental, health and safety standards; performing tasks related to facility and grounds upkeep; assisting in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems or performing equipment maintenance; assisting with moving furniture or other large items; assisting with setting up for events; performing landscaping and mowing tasks, and other duties as assigned. This position is also expected to serve as back-up to custodial personnel during their absence. During inclement weather events or emergency maintenance situations, facilities personnel may be called in to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with a fixed schedule to be set after employment begins. Some travel and work at satellite campuses may be required. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Position Summary

Provides care coordination services to families who have been diverted from states custody through the Child Protective Services system. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in construction and/or building/mechanical maintenance systems maintenance within the last seven (7) years. Some supervisory, crew lead or foreman experience preferred.
